AllSTEM Connections, Inc. seeks a Safety Engineer (EHS) for a full-time, temp-to-hire position in Poway, CA within the aerospace and defense sector.

You will conduct investigations, inspections, and risk assessments, ensure OSHA compliance, and develop corrective actions while coordinating safety training for personnel and supporting plant-wide safety

Responsabilités

• Identify, evaluate, and analyze workplace conditions that may contribute to injuries, incidents, or operational risk.
• Conduct safety investigations, workplace inspections, and building inspections; recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state OSHA standards, safety regulations, reporting requirements, and internal safety procedures.
• Coordinate and deliver employee safety training related to ergonomics, hazardous materials, PPE, emergency procedures, CPR/First Aid, AED, material handling, and Right‑to‑Know topics.
• Maintain safety manuals, required records, regulatory reports, and documentation related to inspections, incidents, injuries, and fatalities.
• Support waste management, hazardous waste processes, environmental programs, and safety coordination with remote facilities.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Safety Engineer (EHS) for a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity in Poway, CA within the aerospace and defense industry. This role supports environmental, health, and safety programs in a highly technical environment focused on safety compliance, risk reduction, employee training, and continuous improvement.

This is an excellent opportunity for an EHS professional who enjoys hands‑on safety engineering, regulatory compliance, training, and cross‑functional collaboration. The position offers visibility across multiple departments and facilities, supportive leadership, a structured 9/80 schedule, and the potential to convert to a permanent role after the initial assignment.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and confident working with employees at all levels to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and promote a safe and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal and state OSHA standards, safety regulations, reporting requirements, and internal safety procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

• Compensation range: $69,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year.
• Employment type: Full‑time, hourly, temporary‑to‑hire.
• Initial assignment length: Six months, with the goal of converting to a permanent position.
• Schedule: 9/80 work schedule.
• Typical hours: 7:00 or 8:00 AM to approximately 5:30 PM, with flexibility on start time.
• Location: Poway, CA.
• Security clearance: Not required.
