Job summary

Olin is seeking a Safety Engineer Co-Op in Oxford, MS to support the EH&S team. You will lead hands-on safety projects, investigate incidents, and help develop training while applying NIOSH-based ergonomic assessments.

Applicants must be an undergrad in Environmental, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering with a 3.0+ GPA, have sophomore year completed, and be authorized to work in the United States. Housing stipend may be available.

Qualifications

• GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale required; official transcript each term.
• Must have completed sophomore year (60 credit hours) prior to first rotation.
• Experience in ammunition and firearms industry preferred.
• Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) during rotation; no virtual work.

Responsibilities

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on safety projects each term.
• Investigate incidents, determine root causes, and suggest corrective actions.
• Develop new hire training and participate in FMEA discussions with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct ergonomic assessments using software and NIOSH techniques.
