Job summary

Federal Express Corporation is seeking an Operations Supervisor in New York to oversee day-to-day package sortation and staff. You will manage hiring, training, performance, and safety programs while ensuring compliance with FedEx policies and government regulations.

You will lead meetings, analyze performance, mentor junior supervisors, and adapt quickly to changing needs in a fast-paced facility. This is a full-time role with midnight/sunrise shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum six months in a package handler role or supervisory position in a fast-paced environment.
• In lieu of experience, certification program or 2+ years of college toward a degree.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champions FedEx's Safety Above All Culture and supports related initiatives.
• Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations.
• Assign and manage employees to ensure safe and efficient sortation of packages.
• Analyze performance and implement improvements to key metrics.
• Lead daily meetings and communicate operational updates to teams.
• Administer employee relations and safety strategies.
• Train new employees on duties and FXG policies and safety topics.
• Mentor and develop less-experienced Operations Supervisors.
• Adapt quickly to change and lead with urgency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
