Job summary

Walker County Stone is seeking a Plant Haul Truck Operator to safely operate off-road haul trucks and support continuous production in a mining environment. The role requires adherence to safety, environmental, and site procedures while transporting materials between pits, stockpiles, crushers, and plant areas.

The position emphasizes daily vehicle inspections, effective communication with the team, and reliable completion of loading operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment preferred (haul trucks, loaders, or similar off-road equipment).
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to work in a high-risk industrial environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate haul trucks to transport material between pits, stockpiles, crushers, and plant areas.
• Perform daily inspections of equipment and document findings.
• Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and other operators to maintain safe traffic flow and production efficiency.
• Assist with basic site maintenance tasks as needed.
• Identify and report mechanical issues to minimize downtime and prevent failures.
