Job summary

The Concrete Company in Georgia is looking for an entry-level Heavy Equipment Operator to safely operate large off-road haul trucks (60-70 ton) transporting raw materials from extraction to crushers or stockpiles. The role includes daily safety inspections and strict MSHA compliance for high-volume production.

This full-time position requires coordination with excavator or loader operators, performing pre- and post-shift checks, and maintaining equipment. Comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy mining/construction equipment is required.
• Physical ability to sit for long periods, handle vibration, and withstand outdoor elements (extreme weather).
• Strong spatial awareness, attention to detail, and ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• This is a full-time position, often involving long shifts (10 - 12 hours).

Responsibilities

• Safe Operation - Driving articulated or rigid haul trucks over steep, uneven and rough terrain.
• Loading/Dumping - Coordinating with excavator or front-end loader operators to load materials and dump them into designated areas.
• Equipment Maintenance - Conducting pre-and post-shift inspections of tires, lights, brakes, etc.
• Safety Compliance - Strict adherence to MSHA and company safety policies and procedures.
• Communication - Using two-way radios to communicate with management and other team members.
