Job summary

Turner Mining Group in Alabama seeks a skilled Haul Truck Driver to support open-pit mining operations. You will operate heavy haul trucks, meet cycle targets, perform pre-start inspections, and maintain safe, on-time delivery of ore, waste, and materials.

You will work with loaders, spotters, and dispatch, follow safety rules, and handover the equipment at shift end. Spanish or English for safety briefings is a plus; night shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Valid license and proven hours operating haul trucks on mine or quarry.
• Ability to hit cycle times and spot accurately around loading equipment in dust, grades, and changing dump locations.
• Knowledge of pre-start inspections and fault reporting.
• Respect for spotter and dispatch instructions without argument.
• Willingness to work nights and follow site induction, fatigue, and substance rules.
• Spanish or English sufficient to take safety briefings; both is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Haul assigned loads between dig faces, dumps, stockpiles, and work areas so daily tonnage and cycle targets are met.
• Complete pre-start inspections and report defects before the shift starts.
• Spot under loaders and at dumps on the first approach to reduce wait time.
• Run each shift with zero recordable incidents while following speed, berm, and right-of-way rules.
• Maintain radio communications with dispatch, loaders, and spotters for smooth operations.
• Protect tires, brakes, and fuel use through proper loading and gear selection.
• Leave the truck fueled, cleaned, and parked to standard with a proper end-of-shift handover.
