Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent experience).
• CAD proficiency.
• Familiarity with machinery controls, PLCs, and risk-assessment frameworks.
• Knowledge of industrial safety standards; OSHA 511 certification.

Aufgaben

• Process & Safety Integration: Design & Optimi ze manufacturing lines, tool layouts, and assembly steps while embedding safety protocols directly into the production cycle.
• Risk Assessments & Audits: Perform and document machine and job hazard evaluations to prevent accidents and equipment failures.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all plant activities, machinery guards, and procedures comply with OSHA and local environmental health & safety regulations.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead and implement projects to reduce waste, downtime, and material variances while maintaining or improving operator safety.
• Incident & Accident Investigations: Investigate all accidents/incidents, near-misses, or production defects to find root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Training & Documentation: Develop or update existing SOPs, safety manuals, safety procedures and policies. Conduct periodic and annual training as required or needed.
• Collaboration & Safety Awareness: Assemble and lead an effective safety team, conduct regular safety meetings, create excitement and awareness to safety by implementing various safety events.
