Job summary

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division in Waukesha, WI is seeking a Safety Engineer to support plant leadership in achieving risk reduction goals through safety and ergonomic improvements, while maintaining robust manufacturing processes. This role operates under the framework of federal, state, local regulations and customer requirements.

The candidate will develop and implement strategies, lead cross-functional projects, and drive improvements using ADKAR.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution.
• Six (6) months of manufacturing experience, including internships/co-ops.
• No immigration sponsorship; must reside within 50 miles of Waukesha, WI.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate safety hazards; enforce safety standards and conduct training.
• Lead root cause analysis and problem solving to improve cost, quality and performance.
• Support design reviews and new product development for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
• Manage cross-functional projects with defined goals, budgets and stakeholder communication.
• Drive and sustain process improvements using ADKAR change management tools.
• Contribute to capital equipment selection and CAR development for new initiatives.
• Participate in manufacturing assessments as lead or category champion.
