The Imagine Group, An Imagine Company, is seeking a Safety & Manufacturing Engineer for an onsite role based in Rochester, NY. You will strengthen plant performance by improving manufacturing processes while ensuring workplace safety and regulatory compliance across equipment, workstations, and operations.

Responsibilities include designing and optimizing lines with embedded safety, performing hazard evaluations, and ensuring OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Occupational Health & Safety.
• Occupational Health & Safety experience or equivalent.
• Familiarity with OSHA regulations and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Design & optimize manufacturing lines, tool layouts and assembly steps with safety integrated.
• Document machine and job hazard evaluations to prevent accidents.
• Ensure plant activities, machinery guards and procedures comply with OSHA and local EH&S regulations.
• Lead safety projects to reduce waste, downtime and variances while protecting operator safety.
• Investigate accidents, near-misses or defects to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Develop or update SOPs, safety manuals and safety procedures; conduct periodic training.
• Assemble and lead a safety team; run regular safety meetings and safety events.

The Imagine Group is recruiting for a Safety & Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer and supplier of jewelry findings and components, specializing in high-quality metal parts and accessories used in jewelry design and production. This position is onsite, based in Rochester, NY.

The organization serves jewelry manufacturers and industry professionals by providing precision-crafted components, reliable product quality, and solutions that support efficient manufacturing and custom jewelry creation.

In this role, you will strengthen plant performance by improving manufacturing processes while ensuring workplace safety and regulatory compliance across equipment, workstations, and operations.

Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success

• Design & Optimize manufacturing lines, tool layouts, and assembly steps while embedding safety
• protocols directly into the production cycle.
• Perform and document machine and job hazard evaluations to prevent accidents and equipment
• Ensure all plant activities, machinery guards, and procedures comply with OSHA and local
• environmental health & safety regulations.
• Lead and implement projects to reduce waste, downtime, and material variances while
• maintaining or improving operator safety.
• Investigate all accidents/incidents, near-misses, or production defects to find root causes and
• implement corrective actions.
• Develop or update existing SOPs, safety manuals, safety procedures and policies. Conduct
• periodic and annual training as required or needed.
• Assemble and lead an effective safety team, conduct regular safety meetings, create excitement and awareness to safety by implementing various safety events.

Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive

• Knowledge of industrial safety standards; OSHA 511 certification.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or

Occupational Health & Safety (or equivalent experience).

• Familiarity with machinery controls, PLCs, and risk-assessment frameworks.
