Job summary

JE Dunn Construction’s Advanced Facilities Group seeks a Safety Director to provide leadership on safety and health for national goals and strategy. Focused on advanced facilities projects, the role implements programs, produces analytics, and oversees training and investigations across regions.

The strong preference is to base this role out of the Kansas City, MO office, with travel to job sites as required. Candidates should bring 10+ years of construction safety, plus leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health, construction management or related field.
• 10+ years construction safety experience.
• 5+ years people management experience.
• 2+ years budgeting or financial management experience.
• Safety leadership on large-scale advanced facilities/high tech projects (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implements, manages and drives environmental, health and safety programs and initiatives.
• Measures environmental, health and safety metrics and provides timely analytics.
• Provides support with Worker’s Compensation claims in accordance with company and state policies.
• Leads the Drug and Alcohol program in accordance with corporate policies and practices.
• Attends internal and external meetings to discuss EH&S matters and offers timely solutions.
• Designs, leads, and conducts EH&S training for Regional safety team members.
• Leads investigation team on serious safety matters within the Region.
