Job summary

Cashman Equipment Co. seeks a Safety Champion to promote a strong safety culture and mentor supervisors across all departments.

You will help develop and implement safety programs in collaboration with the Safety Department and site management to ensure compliance with Empire’s best safety practices and policies. The role focuses on facilitating safety trainings, conducting detailed area safety assessments, and driving accountability for incident prevention.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Safety, Business, Management, or related field.
• Three years’ experience in safety compliance.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Mentor employees to develop safe habits across facility, tooling, and work processes.
• Plan and facilitate safety activities, trainings, and briefings.
• Coordinate with Site Safety Committees to perform root cause analyses when incidents occur.
• Conduct safety assessments of work areas and ensure compliance with training requirements.
• Update and train on corporate safety policies and procedures.
• Promote ownership and accountability for safety performance.
