Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Olive Branch, MS is hiring a Workplace Health & Safety Specialist (WHSS) to lead safety programs, conduct daily audits, and investigate incidents. You will train teams, promote a proactive safety culture, and support emergency response on site.

The role requires OSHA knowledge, 1 year in EHS or related field (or related degree), and proficiency in Word/Excel. Flexible shifts and a strong safety mindset are valued in this position.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR a bachelor’s degree in EHS-related background OR 6 months experience performing in a safety-related role within Amazon.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations specifically 29 CFR 1910.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality in matter involving security and/or personal issues in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety program excellence through data-driven strategies.
• Drive daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments.
• Deliver engaging safety training that resonates with associates and promotes a proactive safety culture.
• Assist emergency response at the site and maintain effective care delivery in emergencies.
• Lift up to 49 pounds and stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts.
