Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety assistant to support the Safety Manager in coordinating programs that prevent injuries and financial losses while training staff on safety protocols.

You will lead safety audits, conduct new-hire orientations, and manage training records, aiming to promote a strong safety culture across the plant. A high school diploma is required, with OSHA knowledge and forklift experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Commitment to safety and ability to identify safety improvements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Safety Manager in coordinating and implementing safety programs to prevent injuries and losses.
• Lead Safety Committee and STOP Card Program; follow up on action items and audits.
• Conduct safety orientation for new hires; maintain training matrix and records.
• Perform machine safety audits including LOTO and safety behavior audits.
• Lead daily/weekly safety walks and provide weekly attendance reports for training sessions.
