Thayer Power and Communication Line Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support field teams by enforcing safety programs, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving a culture of safety across projects.

The role includes developing safety policies, conducting audits, supporting OSHA recordkeeping, investigations, and training, with a focus on minimizing injuries and ensuring client requirements are met.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or other equivalent practice.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State safety regulations.
  • CHST and/or CUSP or other equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
  • Ensures completion of required OSHA recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Ensures completion of all clients required training/orientation for both safety and environmental.
  • Conduct and provide oversight for accident/incident investigations and complete reports to be uploaded into client’s internal portal.
  • Identifies opportunities to minimize workplace injuries, accidents, and health problems.
  • Conducts employee training on applicable safety standards.
  • Reviews safety training and recommends revisions, improvements, and updates.
  • Conducts safety inspections, observations, and audits to assess employee compliance with safety regulations and identify opportunities for improvement.

Position Summary
