Job summary

Capital Paving and Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator/Manager to develop, implement, and monitor safety programs across bridge, earthworks, and asphalt projects.

This role requires OSHA expertise, travel to sites, training leadership, and a proven record in incident investigations and compliance with company policies.

You will maintain site safety records, coordinate audits, and drive a zero-accident culture throughout the territory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety Health and Fire Science required or equivalent.
• 5+ years of civil construction or asphalt safety experience preferred.
• Environmental compliance experience.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• First Aid/ CPR training preferred.
• Experience with OSHA rules and regulations.
• Strong interpersonal skills in a construction setting.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver’s license; background check and pre-employment screens.

Responsibilities

• Assist with executing safety strategy and zero-accident culture for the assigned business unit.
• Ensure job site safety including training, documentation, audits, and reporting.
• Monitor daily construction activities for OSHA compliance and company policies.
• Develop and implement safety programs for each project within the territory.
• Lead safety training for individuals and crews as needed.
• Maintain regular site visits to all projects within the territory.
• Maintain safety records and communicate safety matters across the organization.
• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.
