Job summary

Capital Holding Group in Searcy, AR is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to implement, manage, and monitor safety programs that meet OSHA requirements across DOT and civil projects in central Arkansas. The role focuses on building a zero-accident culture and real-time safety leadership on site.

You will lead safety training, perform site assessments, maintain records, and coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years' equivalent in Occupational Safety.
• Experience in civil construction or asphalt.
• Environmental compliance experience.
• Familiar with OSHA rules and regulations; MSHA a plus.
• Ability to identify and correct safety deficiencies in the field.

Responsibilities

• Assist with executing safety strategy and zero-accident culture for the assigned business unit.
• Ensure job site safety including training, documentation, audits, and reporting.
• Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA and company policies/procedures.
• Assist in safety program development and implementation for projects.
• Lead safety training for individuals and crews as needed.
• Maintain regular site visits to all projects within the territory.
• Communicate safety matters in real time to all levels of the organization.

This position is based out of Searcy, Arkansas and will oversee DOT and commercial bridge and earthworks projects in the central Arkansas area to ensure they are meeting OSHA standards and following company safety policies. This individual must be an **experienced** safety specialist with a demonstrated history of working in the civil construction industry. This individual must be skilled in Hazard Analysis, CPR Instruction, Safety Training, Incident Investigation, and Lock Out Tag Out.**Job Tasks and Responsibilities*** Assist with executing our safety strategy and zero accident culture for the assigned business unit.* Ensure job site safety including training, documentation, audits, and reporting.* Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA and company policies/procedures.* Assist in safety efforts by researching, planning, developing, and implementing programs and procedures necessary to meet compliance and safety needs.* Implement an effective safety program for each project within the territory assigned.* Lead safety training for individuals and crews as needed.* Maintain a regular site visit to all projects within the territory assigned.* Communicate with all parties in real time to ensure all safety matters are dealt with timely and accurately.* Maintain proper safety records and documentation and communicate to all levels of the organization as necessary.* Other duties, as assigned.## Qualifications**Qualifications, Skills, and Experience*** Bachelor’s degree focused on Occupational Safety Health or five (5) years of equivalent experience.* Relative background in civil construction or asphalt.* Environmental compliance experience.* Previous experience with OSHA rules and regulations.* Formal safety training including OSHA within the construction industry.* Previous experience with MSHA rules and regulations is a plus.* Ability to identify and correct safety deficiencies in the field.* Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels in a construction environment.* Working knowledge with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.* Clean and valid driver’s license.* Well-organized approach to constantly changing working conditions and/or priorities.* Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.* Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.**This is a full-time, benefits eligible position.
