Job summary

Capital Holding Group in Searcy, AR seeks an experienced Safety Coordinator to implement, manage, and monitor safety programs meeting OSHA requirements. This full-time role oversees DOT and construction safety across central Arkansas projects, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include executing safety strategy, training and auditing on site, maintaining records, conducting site visits, and coordinating real-time safety communications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree focused on Occupational Safety Health or five (5) years of equivalent experience.
  • Relative background in civil construction or asphalt.
  • Environmental compliance experience.
  • Previous experience with OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Formal safety training including OSHA within the construction industry.
  • Previous experience with MSHA rules and regulations is a plus.
  • Ability to identify and correct safety deficiencies in the field.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels in a construction environment.
  • Working knowledge with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Clean and valid driver's license.
  • Well-organized approach to constantly changing working conditions and/or priorities.
  • Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
  • Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

  • Ensure job site safety including training, documentation, audits, and reporting.
  • Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA and company policies/procedures.
  • Assist in safety efforts by researching, planning, developing, and implementing programs and procedures necessary to meet compliance and safety needs.
  • Implement an effective safety program for each project within the territory assigned.
  • Lead safety training for individuals and crews as needed.
  • Maintain a regular site visit to all projects within the territory assigned.
  • Communicate with all parties in real time to ensure all safety matters are dealt with timely and accurately.
  • Maintain proper safety records and documentation and communicate to all levels of the organization as necessary.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Position Type: Full Time

Capital Holding Group is looking for an experienced Safety Coordinator to implement, manage, and monitor safety programs, policies, and procedures that meet OSHA requirements. This position is based out of Searcy, Arkansas and will oversee DOT and commercial bridge and earthworks projects in the central Arkansas area to ensure they are meeting OSHA standards and following company safety policies.
