Job summary

You will work with project managers, field supervisors, and electricians to ensure OSHA, NFPA 70E compliance, identify hazards, and drive continual safety improvement on sites.

Job Summary

The Safety Coordinatorsupports all aspectsof the company'ssafetyprogram for commercialelectrical constructionprojects.Working closely withproject managers, fieldsupervisors, and electricians, this position ensurescompliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, andcompany safety policieswhile identifying hazards, conducting training, andfostering a cultureof continuous safetyimprovement. The SafetyCoordinator regularly visitsproject sites tomonitor workpractices, investigateincidents, and implementcorrective actions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

SafetyProgram Administration

• Assist in implementingand maintaining thecompany's Healthand Safety Program.
• Ensure compliance withfederal, state, andlocal safety regulations.
• Developand updatesafety policies, procedures, and safe workpractices.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and regulatorydocumentation.

JobsiteSafety

• Conduct routine andunannounced jobsite safetyinspections.
• Identify unsafeconditions and behaviorsand recommend correctiveactions.
• Monitor compliance withcompany safety policiesand client-specificsafetyrequirements.
• Ensure proper housekeepingand organization onconstruction sites.
• Verify proper useof personal protectiveequipment(PPE).

Electrical Safety Compliance

• Monitor compliance withNFPA 70E electricalsafety standards.
• Ensure Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures are followed.
• Verify arc flashhazard assessments andPPE requirements.
• Observe energized electricalwork and ensurerequired permits andprocedures are followed.
• Promotesafe useof ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and powertools.

Training andEducation

• Conduct new hiresafety orientation.
• Lead weekly toolboxtalks and monthlysafety meetings.
• CoordinateOSHA-required trainingand certifications.
• Coach employees andsupervisors on safework practices.
• Assist with emergencyresponse drills andpreparedness training.

Incident Management

• Investigate workplace injuries, nearmisses, property damage, and safety concerns.

Compliance and Documentation

• Maintain OSHA300 logs andsafety records asrequired.
