Job description

The Safety Coordinator is a full-time, on-site, responsible for supporting and enforcing safety programs across active construction projects. Day-to-day tasks include conducting site inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations. This role develops and delivers safety training, maintains safety documentation, and promotes safe work practices among field and office personnel.

The Safety Coordinator investigates accidents and near misses, recommends corrective actions, and follows up to ensure implementation. The position collaborates closely with project managers, supervisors, and crew members to foster a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement in health and safety performance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess skills in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, including knowledge of relevant regulations and best practices in construction safety.
• Candidates should possess skills in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), with the ability to integrate environmental considerations into overall site safety programs.
• Candidates should possess skills in Safety Training, including developing, delivering, and documenting safety orientations, toolbox talks, and refresher courses.
• Candidates should possess skills in Accident Investigation, including root cause analysis, incident reporting, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
• Relevant qualifications such as OSHA certifications (e.g., OSHA 30), first aid/CPR
  certification, and experience in construction or industrial settings are beneficial.
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, are important for success in this role.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional safety-related education or professional certifications are an advantage.
