Position Overview
Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to join their client's team in Idaho. The Safety Coordinator will play a vital role in maintaining and organizing safety documentation, assisting with claims management, and supporting the overall safety initiatives within the company. This position is located in Boise, ID and offers a competitive pay rate of $30 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Maintain safety training records and an electronic safety training log.
- Manage safety documentation and facilitate completion of action items on ISNetworld and Avetta accounts.
- Arrange training sessions by communicating with Department Heads as needed.
- Track GF participation and performance in safety programs such as tailgate safety meetings.
- Assist in preparing site-specific safety plans per customer requirements.
- Support injury management by tracking follow-ups and communicating as needed.
- Provide assistance in workers’ compensation, automobile, and property damage claims by gathering and storing documentation.
- Maintain OSHA-related documentation, including monthly safety statistic reports and OSHA 300 log.
- Prepare ad hoc reports (e.g., Safety Leadership Team presentations).
- Complete special projects and data reports (e.g., audit participation reports).
- Gather and complete documentation for pre-qualification packages for project managers.
- Assist VP of Safety in coordinating, scheduling, and preparing safety meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint) and computer applications:
- Intermediate to advanced Excel/Word skills (macros, databases, graphs, reports, forms, formulas, functions).
- Gmail and Google products experience.
- Internet research and online applications (e.g., FedEx delivery, product ordering).
- Ability to edit text and ensure 99% data accuracy:
- Adobe Writer editing.
- Competent writing skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience in construction safety strongly preferred.
- Strong telephone and customer service skills.
