Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Site Safety Manager to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HSE regulations at Boise-area job sites. You will develop, implement, and audit safety policies under the Safety Director, mentoring site personnel and interfacing with management and customers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of site safety management in commercial/industrial construction.
• Experience leading safety technicians/coordinators.
• OSHA 510/500 is strongly preferred.
• NFPA 70E and LOTO knowledge.
• Ability to promote a positive safety culture and collaborate with peers.
• Technical knowledge and basic administrative skills.
• Experience preparing incident reports and JHA analyses.
• Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, PDF editors, and safety software.

Job Description:

The Site Safety Manager ensures that the Company complies with all applicable federal, state, and local Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations. Under the direction of the Safety Director, this position is responsible for assisting with the development, implementation and auditing of safety policies across a wide spectrum of levels. This individual will directly interact with field employees, Company Management and customers. The Safety Manager will provide oversight management of all service HSE activities in their area, provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to all Site Safety personnel, provide all levels of the area management team with the services and technical advice needed for the proper administration of the Company’s HSE and Injury/Illness Prevention Programs. This includes supporting the company’s established network for the communication of HSE matters, managing HSE programs at jobsites, supporting other Site Safety Managers and developing and maintaining a strong HSE culture within the area. Periderm or relocation are not provided for this role.

Day to Day:

• Onsite 5 days a week at job site
• Doing site walks, hazard prevention
• Ensure a safe and healthy working environment for employees, customers and the public.
• Act as the technical safety advisor to Company management and supervision and ensure that all personnel comply with all relevant current labor laws and regulations as well as with new regulations affecting the industry and/or operations.
• Perform frequent safety inspections and audits at the job site.
• Perform frequent job walks and job/ site hazard analysis with supervision and sales staff as necessary for pro-active safety planning and decision-making purposes.
• Perform incident investigations, reports, and help to develop corrective actions as necessary. Identifies key injury and/or safety trends and communicates such to management.
• Ensure that the appropriate safety records are maintained.
• Facilitate cultural change to drive Company safety performance
• Mentor and coach management towards achieving a positive and pro-active culture.
• schedule, facilitate, and track safety training to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
• May act as company representative on issues relating to environmental protection concerns and interfaces as necessary with environmental regulatory agencies and audits project site compliance with environmental protection requirements.
• Participate in educational opportunities, reads professional and technical publications, maintain personal networks, and participates in professional organizations to maintain technical knowledge.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as directed by company executives.
• Safety Manager is responsible for overall subcontractor safety program execution, management of subcontractor safety coordinators, sub-tier management, case & Care management, OCIP/CCIP claims, craft training, safety administration, work coordination, High risk activity planning and development, etc.

Desired Skill Set:

• 5+ years of site safety management experience in a commercial/ industrial construction setting
• Managing a team of safety technicians/coordinators
• Minimum OSHA 510, Osha 500 is strongly preferred
• Competency in NFPA 70E and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
• Ability to collaborate with peers and help in promoting a positive safety culture
• Technical knowledge and basic administrative skills
• Experienced in preparing and managing incident reports
• JHA's (job hazard analysis)
• Proficient with platforms like Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, PDF editing tools, Safety Culture Auditor, Box, and Smartsheet

Compensation

$50.00/hr. -$55.00/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Periderm or relocation are NOT provided for this role. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 1st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
