We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Safety Coordinator to join our team at Ezarc. In this role, you will be instrumental in overseeing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety programs aimed at reducing workplace hazards and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. You will play a critical role in fostering a culture of safety across our organization, ensuring that all employees are equipped with knowledge and tools to maintain a safe working environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Review daily paperwork for compliance and detailed pre-task planning.
- Provide training and resources to employees to enhance safety awareness and compliance with workplace safety policies.
- Collaborate with safety manager to investigate incidents, analyze root causes, and develop strategies to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct field risk assessments and present reports to safety manager.
- Stay current with health and safety regulations and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance and improvement of safety practices.
- Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Facilitate training programs on safety practices for employees at all levels, ensuring understanding and adherence to safety protocols.
- Act as a point of contact for safety-related inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support to employees.
Qualifications
- Strong background in construction safety, experience performing site safety audits/observations, providing training, coordinating with staff, and possessing a safety certification (OSHA 30, 510, or related).
- 3-5 years of experience as a safety professional or in a similar role, preferably in commercial, industrial, or semiconductor industries.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively present safety information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and interact with different groups of people.
- Critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills for data entry, reporting, and training.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
