Qualifications

• 2+ years in safety, occupational health, or manufacturing.

Grassland is hiring a 2nd Shift Safety Coordinator to help promote a safe, compliant, and productive work environment.The Safety Coordinator is responsible for supporting and facilitating compliance with OSHA requirements and Grassland Dairy’s occupational health and safety policies across our Greenwood, Wisconsin, locations. This position plays a key role in promoting a safe and compliant work environment by identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, supporting injury and accident prevention initiatives, and fostering a strong culture of safety.

In addition, this position will provide support and coordination to the Safety Departments at Grassland Dairy’s affiliated facilities, including West Point Dairy Products locations in Utah, Nebraska, New Ulm, and Alcam/Richland Center, Wisconsin, as well as Grassland Dairy Products in Colfax, Wisconsin.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, every third weekend.
• 1:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m.
• On call as business needs arise.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and implement Grassland and OSHA policies and programs.
• Advise employees on various safety topics and tasks.
• Prepare and present safety training.
• Periodically review existing policies and procedures to be sure they remain compliant and accurate.
• Support the Safety departments of our sister plants as directed by the Corporate Safety Director.
• Conduct Safety Audits for compliance with Grassland and OSHA Safety policies.
• Perform Safety orientation for new employees.
• Track and record OSHA injury logs and Workers’ comp insurance claims.
• Prepare and present reports on accidents and hazards and determine causes.
• Work with management to find ways to reduce or eliminate causes of workplace injuries.
• Conduct risk assessments.
• Oversee projects to be sure they are compliant and do not present risks.

Wages

Compensation for this position ranges from $25.00/hour to $27.50/hour with a $1.00/hour shift differential. Education, experience, and relevant qualifications will be taken into consideration.
