Grassland Dairy Products is expanding and seeking a reliable 2nd shift Forklift Operator to join our team. You will safely operate forklifts, move and place products, and ensure inventory is handled accurately within our automated storage system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Food manufacturing, material handling experience preferred.
• Must hold a valid forklift operator’s license.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to move and place products.
• Verify quality control items and follow FIFO guidelines.
• Organize stock within the ASRS warehouse system.
• Communicate with dock personnel on inventory and layout.
• Maintain documentation and records for daily production totals.
• Backfill to other positions as needed.

Grassland Dairy Products is expanding, and we're looking for a reliable and safety-focused 2nd shift Forklift Operator to join our team.

As a General Forklift Operator, you will play an important role in our warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts, efficiently moving and placing products, and ensuring inventory is handled accurately within our automated storage system. This is an exciting opportunity to work with advanced warehouse technology while being part of a growing dairy manufacturing operation.

Schedule

• 2nd shift, Monday through Friday, 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Every other weekend - Double Time Pay

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.
• Verify quality control items such as product coding, packaging, sampling, etc.
• Responsible for organizing and rotating stock within FIFO guidelines.
• Communicate with dock personnel regarding ongoing organization of the warehouse.
• Communicate with inventory leadership regarding product placement and organization.
• Maintain proper documentation in all record-keeping formats.
• Perform forklift operations for the ASRS facility.
• Account for daily production totals and product placement.
• Demonstrate an understanding of the products manufactured and the processes involved.
• Assist with general cleaning and housekeeping throughout the plant as needed.
• Backfill to other positions/departments as needed.

Position Requirements

• Attention to detail and good organizational skills.

• Learn/Understand lot coding and product identification.
• Learn/Understand layout of coolers and freezers.
• Basic understanding of equipment operations, and minor troubleshooting ability.
• Must be able to demonstrate an ability and willingness to communicate effectively in order to maintain high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures and company guidelines in order to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Able to understand daily production needs.
• Demonstrate safe and efficient forklift operations.
• Demonstrate the Qualified Individuals responsibilities for Preventative Controls

Education/Experience

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• Food manufacturing, material handling, and forklift operation experience is preferred.
• Must be able to maintain a valid forklift operator’s license.
