Job summary

Grassland Dairy Products, Inc. is hiring a 1st shift Electro-Mechanical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot equipment powering a major dairy facility. The role requires hands-on electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills and offers growth in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience. 1st shift runs 6:30 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with every-other weekend coverage and a $1.00/hour second shift differential.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on production machinery including PLC issues and AC/DC drives.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and follow safety standards.
  • Assemble, test, and install new machinery and robotic equipment using schematics and manuals.
  • Modify, calibrate, and upgrade equipment to improve efficiency.
  • Maintain records of repairs, maintenance, and machine performance using CMS software.

Grassland Dairy Products, Inc. is hiring a 1st shift Electro-Mechanical Technician to help maintain and troubleshoot the equipment that powers one of the nation’s leading dairy manufacturing facilities. This is a hands-on role for someone who’s skilled in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and wants competitive pay, a stable company, and growth opportunities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems on production machinery, including PLC issues and AC/DC drives.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance to prevent machine failure and minimize downtime, following company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Installation & Assembly: Assemble, test, and install new machinery and robotic equipment using schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
  • System Upgrades: Modify, calibrate, and upgrade existing equipment to improve efficiency.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and machine performance using CMS software.
Work Schedule:

1st shift 6:30 am to 2:30 pm Monday through Friday. This role is expected to work every other weekend to help support our 24/7 operation and keep production running strong.

Compensation:

Compensation for this position is commensurate with education, experience, and relevant qualifications. This role also includes a $1.00/hour 2nd shift differential.

  • Must be able to climb ladders and work from heights.
Education/Experience:
  • Associate’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Engineering, or a related field is typically required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
