Sterling Engineering, Inc. in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support HR and maintain a safe, compliant warehouse environment.

You will conduct safety inspections, coordinate training, investigate incidents, and act as the point of contact for HR and safety concerns. Responsibilities include enforcing safety policies, maintaining incident records, coordinating forklift and PPE training, and assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations while ensuring OSHA

Qualifications

• Bi-lingual Spanish/English required and work involves HR/safety coordination.
• 5+ years in HR, safety, or warehouse operations.
• Associate's degree preferred in related fields.
• Knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and OSHA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular warehouse safety inspections and identify hazards.
• Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain records of incidents, near misses, and injuries.
• Coordinate forklift, PPE, and emergency response training.
• Investigate workplace accidents and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
• Serve as HR and safety contact for concerns.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and safety regulations.
