Job Summary

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking an Employee Health and Safety Coordinator to support and enhance safety programs across industrial construction projects in the Phoenix Metro Area. This role is responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting field operations through training, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate brings a construction background and is committed to protecting employees, clients, and the communities we serve.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the team and promote a strong safety culture.
  • Develop, implement, and improve safety policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements.
  • Deliver safety training and provide resources to ensure employees understand and follow best practices.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance through jobsite inspections, audits, and assessments.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety violations and implement corrective actions.
  • Support emergency preparedness efforts including response planning and training exercises.
Minimum Job Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in safety management within construction, preferably electrical or underground construction.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and applicable safety regulations.
  • Relevant safety certifications such as OSHA 30, BCSP, IASHEP, or NCCER.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in high risk environments such as industrial construction.
  • Additional certifications in energy isolation, trenching, or confined space.

Physical Requirements
  • Work in active industrial construction environments with exposure to varying conditions.
  • Ability to walk job sites, climb, and access elevated or confined areas.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and perform hands on safety evaluations.
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment at all times.
