Overview

A leading piping solutions manufacturer and fabricator is seeking a highly engaged Safety Coordinator to support one of its primary U.S. production facilities. The company specializes in engineered thermoplastic piping systems and custom fabrication used across industries such as industrial manufacturing, municipal infrastructure, environmental services, and energy. Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary on-site safety leader and first point of contact for all safety-related matters.
  • Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to identify, document, and mitigate hazards and unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and applicable Canadian health and safety regulations.
  • Implement, monitor, and improve key safety programs including Lockout/Tagout, PPE, Hot Work, Fall Protection, Hazard Communication, and Emergency Action Plans.
  • Support corporate safety initiatives and contribute to the development of organization-wide safety strategies.
  • Lead and assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action development.
  • Gather, analyze, and trend safety data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support environmental and industrial hygiene monitoring such as noise, air quality, and heat stress assessments.
  • Assist with emergency preparedness and response plans.
  • Provide safety oversight for operations, maintenance, fabrication, and quality teams.
  • Travel up to two weeks per month for safety audits, site visits, training support, and employee engagement.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree preferred; high school diploma required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a safety-related role, ideally in industrial, fabrication, warehouse, or construction environments.
  • Demonstrated experience improving safety programs and processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) with the ability to learn new systems.
