Job summary

Haydon-Corporation is seeking a Safety Coordinator to oversee safety processes at our manufacturing site in Ohio. You will perform weekly safety inspections, assess hazards, implement controls, and coordinate training across shifts and contractors.

Responsibilities include maintaining OSHA logs, leading Safety Committee meetings, supporting audits, and investigating incidents. Strong communication, multitasking, and bilingual English/Spanish skills are valued in this role.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Safety.
• Safety-related certifications preferred.
• MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to solve problems.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Perform weekly inspections to maintain safety and cleanliness of all work areas, employees, machinery and safety equipment.
• Evaluate onsite processes for hazards via Job Hazard Analysis and PPE Hazards Assessments.
• Implement site-specific hazard control methods and programs.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training for all shifts and contractors; maintain training records and OSHA logs.
• Lead monthly Safety Committee meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Assist with safety audits, inspections and incident investigations; document thoroughly.
• Liaise with People Operations and Operations Management on injuries, illnesses and claims.
• Collaborate with quality, operations and maintenance on safety-related projects.
• Perform drills, lead emergency response teams, and conduct toolbox talks.
• Prepare monthly safety statistics and other reports for EHS oversight.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

If you thrive in environments where you are managing the safety processes for a manufacturing facility, our Safety Coordinator role might be the perfect fit for you!Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Perform documented weekly inspections to maintain the cleanliness, orderliness, and safety of all work areas, employees, machinery, and safety equipment.Evaluate all onsite processes for potential hazards by completing Job Hazard Analysis and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Hazards Assessments.Implement site specific hazard control and mitigation methods, procedures, and programs.Coordinate and conduct any new and reoccurring required safety training for all shifts and departments for all employees and contractors.Maintain safety training records and database, certifications, incident reports, and OSHA logs.Implement and lead the monthly Safety Committee meetings.Ensure the company’s Environmental, Health, and Safety programs and OSHA requirements are followed by all employees and contractors, such as wearing the required PPEs, Proper LOTO, Confined Space and Hot work permits are executed.Ensure OSHA, state, and local regulatory and statutory requirements are met.Assist with safety related regulatory audits and inspections.Assist supervisors with safety related incident investigations.
