POSITION SUMMARY:

The Safety Coordinator will report directly to the Safety Manager as well as the senior management team along with the Project Manager of a given project. The position encompasses a variety of responsibilities relating to project management, strategic planning, and client customer service.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

SAFETY COORDINATOR

• Develop A/Z's project-specific Job Hazard Analysis (JHA).


• Conduct regular (daily) job site and work area inspections and safety observations on specific projects, with some overnight travel outside the region.


• Provide project-specific training based on audits.


• Develop and review subcontractors' project-specific plans for high-risk activities like Confined Space Entry and other critical tasks to ensure safety compliance.


• Provide daily safety reports using Predictive Solutions software; attend project meetings as needed.


• Provide safety training to site personnel to ensure compliance with A/Z and contract requirements.


• Review subcontractors' Health and Safety Plans and Job Hazard Analyses for conformance with policies and contracts.


• Identify potential health and safety issues and recommend corrective actions.


• Communicate effectively with clients, personnel, and subcontractors.


• Build and maintain good relationships with client EH&S representatives.


• Maintain excellent organizational and writing skills.


• Physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate construction sites is required.


• Work may involve exposure to confined spaces, moving mechanical parts, and weather conditions.


• Knowledge of OSHA, federal, state, and local regulations is essential.


• Perform other duties as assigned.
