Job summary

Sheakley Workforce Staffing is seeking a Construction Safety Manager for a 6-month, 1099 contract in Southaven, MS. The role focuses on field safety oversight during electrical construction, cable installation, and transformer work on a SpaceX project.

You will lead toolbox talks, perform field audits, maintain JHAs/PTPs, and ensure OSHA compliance while supporting schedule and production goals. A hands-on, proactive safety leader is essential.

Qualifications

• CHST or CUSP certification required.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
• Experience supporting electrical construction activities.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA Construction Standards.
• Experience conducting field audits and inspections.
• Experience leading toolbox talks and safety meetings.
• Strong communication and contractor management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily field safety oversight for cable installation and transformer termination.
• Maintain safety documentation including JHAs, PTPs, and Toolbox Talks.
• Participate in routine site walks and field observations.
• Support subcontractors and project supervision with safety compliance.
• Identify hazards and coordinate corrective actions.
• Respond to incidents and assist with investigations.
• Monitor commissioning and startup activities.
• Support SmartRun assembly operations and related safety requirements.
• Monitor break-work-fix activities and related hazards.
• Support flush and fill operations.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and project safety requirements.
• Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project.

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Day Shift Pay Rate: $55/hr

Night Shift Pay Rate: $57/hr

Per Diem: $125/day (7 Days Per Week)

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule:12-Hour Shifts (Day & Night Coverage)

Hours: 50-60 Hours Per Week
