Job summary

Instrata Technologies, LLC. seeks a Project Safety Coordinator to strengthen day-to-day safety execution on active construction sites, including hyperscale data center cabling installations.

You will work with project teams to identify hazards, reinforce safe practices, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards while guiding crews in low-voltage installation safety and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in construction safety or a related field.
• Experience supporting structured cabling, low-voltage, or data center fit-out projects is a plus.
• First Aid & CPR certification required or obtainable within 30 days.
• OSHA 30 preferred; STSC® or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and observations.
• Complete JSOs and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Support safe execution of high-risk activities (ladder use, work above ceilings, cable tray installation).
• Participate in job planning and coordination meetings with other trades.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations and follow-up.
• Support new hire orientations, site safety orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and escalate risks as needed.
• Submit safety reports on time and maintain records.

Job description

Are you a safety-focused professional who thrives in active construction environments and takes pride in protecting people and projects? We're looking for a Project Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety execution across our job sites, including hyperscale data center structured cabling installations.

In this role, you'll partner closely with project teams to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. You'll be a visible presence in the field—helping create a proactive safety culture while supporting crews in executing low-voltage cable installation, termination, and testing work safely and efficiently.

What You'll Do – Promote Safety. Enable Execution.

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and observations to ensure safe work practices.
• Complete Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify hazards and implement or recommend immediate corrective actions.
• Support safe execution of high-risk work activities, including ladder and lift use, work above ceilings and below raised floors, and cable tray/pathway installation.
• Participate in job planning and site coordination meetings, including coordination with other trades on active data hall and MDF/IDF work.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up.
• Support new hire orientations, site safety orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and proactive safety culture across the job site.
• Submit safety reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Escalate safety concerns, trends, and risks to the Safety Supervisor.

Experience

2–5 years of experience in construction safety or a related field; experience supporting structured cabling, low-voltage, or data center fit-out projects a plus.

Certifications

• First Aid & CPR certification (required or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• STSC® (Safety Trained Supervisor Construction) or equivalent certification preferred.

Authority

• Authorized to stop work in unsafe conditions.
• Authority to require immediate corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing, including ladder work, working at heights, and access to above-ceiling and under-floor spaces on active job sites.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
