Job summary

Instrata Technologies, LLC. seeks a Project Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety execution across job sites in New Jersey.

You will partner with project teams to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. You’ll be a visible safety presence in the field, conduct daily inspections, complete JSOs, support high-risk activities, and assist with incidents, orientations, and toolbox talks to foster a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of construction safety experience.
• First Aid & CPR certification required or obtainable within 30 days.
• OSHA 30 preferred; STSC or equivalent certification preferred; ability to stop work when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and observations to ensure safe work practices.
• Complete Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify hazards and implement or recommend immediate corrective actions.
• Support safe execution of high-risk work activities.
• Participate in job planning and site coordination meetings.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up.
• Support new hire orientations, site safety orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and proactive safety culture across the job site.
• Submit safety reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Escalate safety concerns, trends, and risks to the Safety Supervisor.

About the Role

In this role, you’ll partner closely with project teams to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards. You’ll be a visible presence in the field—helping create a proactive safety culture while supporting crews in executing work safely and efficiently.

Certifications

• First Aid & CPR certification (required or ability to obtain within 30 days).


• OSHA 30 preferred.


• STSC® (Safety Trained Supervisor Construction) or equivalent certification preferred.


• Authority


• Authorized to stop work in unsafe conditions.


• Authority to require immediate corrective actions to maintain a safe work environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.


• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing on active job sites.


• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
