Job summary

Instrata is seeking a Safety Coordinator to support the Training Director in coordinating and executing daily safety requirements across area project sites.

The role involves providing safety orientation to new hires, maintaining training records, performing audits, and assisting in EH&S policy development. Strong MS Office skills and clear communication are essential, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Minimum of two years of field experience in structured cabling is a plus.
• CHST certification preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of industrial safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to create documentation and safety logs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, Smartsheets.

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in providing safety orientation to new hire employees
• Maintain records of new Hire safety training
• Perform safety audits and inspections as directed by the Training Director or customer representatives
• Coordinating and conducting audits, inspections, and training sessions
• Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing review of EH&S policies and procedures
• Coordinate all aspects of injury and illness investigations and reporting, including OSHA recordkeeping
• Maintain communication with management to understand trends in claims and what can be done to mitigate those safety risks
• Coordinate and accompany customer and outside agency representatives during safety inspections

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of field experience in structured cabling is a plus
• Construction Health and Safety Technician® (CHST) certification preferred but not required
