Job summary

Instrata is seeking a Project Safety Coordinator to support day-to-day safety execution across our job sites. You will actively monitor practices, identify hazards, and reinforce safe behaviors in fast-paced construction environments.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in construction safety, OSHA-30 preferred, and relevant certifications. You will play a key role in planning, training, and incident investigations, helping our teams work safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in construction safety or a related field.
• First Aid & CPR certification (required or ability to obtain within 30 days).
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• STSC (Safety Trained Supervisor Construction) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Authorized to stop work in unsafe conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and observations.
• Complete JSOs and maintain documentation.
• Identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
• Support safe execution of high-risk work activities.
• Participate in job planning and site coordination meetings.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations.
• Support new hire orientations and toolbox talks.
• Promote a positive safety culture on site.
• Submit safety reports accurately and on time.
• Escalate safety concerns to the Safety Supervisor.

What You’ll Do – Promote Safety. Enable Execution.

• Conduct daily site safety inspections and observations to ensure safe work practices.
• Complete Job Safety Observations (JSOs) and maintain accurate documentation.
• Identify hazards and implement or recommend immediate corrective actions.
• Support safe execution of high-risk work activities.
• Participate in job planning and site coordination meetings.
• Assist with incident and near-miss investigations, including documentation and follow-up.
• Support new hire orientations, site safety orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Promote a positive, respectful, and proactive safety culture across the job site.
• Submit safety reports and documentation accurately and on time.
• Escalate safety concerns, trends, and risks to the Safety Supervisor.

Experience

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and climbing on active job sites.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
