Job summary

Suncore is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to protect people and promote safe work practices across our operations in Utah. You will visit field sites, build strong relationships, lead safety training, and analyze incidents to drive continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction safety, OSHA-30, and relevant certifications; you will ensure OSHA/USDOT compliance and collaborate with field teams to mitigate hazards and reinforce safe practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of safety experience in construction projects of similar size and type.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety training completed within the past three years.
• One or more professional safety certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, IOSH, STS-C) or a related credential.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and USDOT regulations.
• Ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships at all levels.
• Strong conflict-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

What You'll Do

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of experience in a safety role involving construction projects of similar size and type
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety training completed within the past three years
• At least one of the following certifications or qualifications:
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
• Construction Health and Safety Technologist (CHST)
• Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST)
• Graduate or Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
• Safety Trained Supervisor - Construction (STS-C)
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) or a related field
• Working knowledge of applicable OSHA and USDOT regulations
• Ability to establish trusting, collaborative relationships with people at all levels of an organization
• Strong conflict-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
