Job summary

Suncore is seeking an experienced Safety Coordinator to protect people and promote safe work practices across our operations in Utah. You will visit field sites, build strong relationships, lead safety training, and analyze incidents to drive continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction safety, OSHA-30, and relevant certifications; you will ensure OSHA/USDOT compliance and collaborate with field teams to mitigate hazards and reinforce safe practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of safety experience in construction projects of similar size and type.
• OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety training completed within the past three years.
• One or more professional safety certifications (CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, IOSH, STS-C) or a related credential.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and USDOT regulations.
• Ability to build trusting, collaborative relationships at all levels.
• Strong conflict-management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit field job sites to review, monitor, and promote safety compliance.
• Build strong relationships with our workforce through trust, respect, and partnership.
• Conduct safety inspections of facilities, plants, equipment, and job sites; address findings with stakeholders.
• Lead safety training and participate in site safety meetings.
• Analyze incident trends and identify opportunities to improve safety performance and culture.
• Serve as a trusted safety resource for employees and leaders; provide guidance on safety matters.
• Help ensure compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and USDOT regulations.
• Partner with field teams and leaders to identify hazards and reinforce safe practices.
