Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of safety experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to conduct safety inspections, compliance audits, and hazard assessments.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with hourly and salaried employees.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Promote continuous improvement of workplace health and safety programs to reduce incidents, prevent injuries and illnesses, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen a culture of safety throughout the facility.
  • Champion and support a safety-first culture by engaging, coaching, and motivating employees at all levels to prioritize safe work practices and behaviors.
  • Coordinate and manage day-to-day environmental, health, and safety activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, company policies, and established safety procedures.
  • Maintain awareness of and implement corporate safety initiatives, programs, and best practices to ensure facility alignment with organizational safety objectives.
  • Support compliance with all Federal, State, and local occupational health and safety regulations through routine assessments, monitoring, and documentation.
  • Partner with hourly and salaried employees on a daily basis to promote safety awareness, accident prevention, and proactive risk reduction efforts.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections, compliance audits, and hazard assessments to identify areas of risk and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Develop, recommend, and track corrective actions to address identified hazards, improve workplace safety, and prevent recurrence of safety incidents.
  • Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents, near misses, and safety concerns to determine root causes and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain safety records, reports, training documentation, and compliance-related communications in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Support employee safety training and ongoing education initiatives to reinforce safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives and achieve established safety performance goals.

Safety Coordinator

Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Shift: Multiple Shifts Available + overtime as needed

Position Summary

The Safety Coordinator position is ideal for a highly engaged, floor-oriented safety professional who is passionate about fostering a strong culture of safety and building positive relationships throughout the organization. The successful candidate will possess a solid understanding of workplace safety principles, OSHA regulations, and best practices, along with the ability to effectively partner with employees and leadership at all levels. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting and contributing to a robust safety program and will thrive in a hands-on environment where visibility, collaboration, and employee engagement are critical to success. They will demonstrate patience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to coaching and educating team members on safe work practices. Through active involvement on the production floor, this individual will help reinforce ThermoSafe's commitment to safety, ensuring employees understand, embrace, and consistently follow established safety policies and procedures while promoting continuous improvement across the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of OSHA compliance, incident investigations, and corrective action processes.
  • Experience delivering employee safety training and facilitating safety meetings.
  • Professional safety certifications such as OSHA 30, ASP, CSP, or CHST.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote a positive safety culture and influence organizational change.
Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This position requires regular standing and walking throughout the workday and involves repetitious duties in a manufacturing environment. Employees frequently use their hands and arms to perform job duties and may occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, speak, and hear. The role requires the ability to lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment that is not temperature-controlled. Employees may be exposed to varying indoor temperatures and seasonal conditions typical of an industrial production setting. The work environment may also involve exposure to moving mechanical equipment, chemicals, fumes, airborne particles, and elevated noise levels. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory and hearing protection, may be required based on job assignments and work area conditions.
