Job summary

Employee Force Provider - EFP Staffing is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our industrial laundry and production environment. Responsibilities

• Conduct new-hire safety orientations and mandatory trainings.
• Maintain employee training records and safety documentation.
• Perform routine safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and document findings.
• Lead weekly safety conversations and promote safe work practices.
• Maintain safety metrics, incident reports, and corrective actions.
• Assist with incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Support OSHA compliance and site safety plans.
• Monitor hazards including machine guarding, LOTO, chemicals, ergonomics, and PPE.
• Maintain SDS, chemical inventories, and hazard communication.
• Communicate findings to management and employees.
• Collaborate with supervisors and production staff to improve safety.
• Engage employees through safety committees and activities.
• Update fire extinguishers and first-aid kits regularly.
• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned.

** Job Summary**

We are seeking a Safety Coordinator to join our team in an industrial laundry and production environment. The Safety Coordinator will report to the Safety Director, General Manager, and Assistant Vice President of Operations and will play an important role in maintaining a safe and healthy workplace.

This position will assist with safety programs, workplace inspections, employee safety training, incident investigations, OSHA compliance, and the overall development of a proactive safety culture.

** Responsibilities:**

• Conduct new-hire safety orientations, annual mandatory training, toolbox talks, and refresher training.
• Maintain accurate employee training records and safety documentation.
• Perform routine safety inspections, audits, hazard assessments, observations, and facility walkthroughs.
• Identify unsafe conditions and document findings in the ERP system.
• Conduct weekly safety conversations with employees to discuss safe work practices and identify potential hazards.
• Maintain safety inspections, incident reports, corrective actions, safety metrics, and daily activity records.
• Assist with workplace incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Support compliance with OSHA regulations , company safety policies, Site-Specific Safety Plans, and emergency response procedures.
• Monitor workplace hazards involving machine guarding, lockout/tagout (LOTO), chemical handling, ergonomics, heat stress, slips/trips/falls, forklift operations, and PPE.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), chemical inventories, and hazard communication programs.
• Communicate safety concerns, audit findings, recommendations, and safety information to management and employees.
• Work closely with supervisors, maintenance personnel, drivers, and production employees to promote continuous safety improvement.
• Support employee safety engagement through safety committees, recognition programs, safety activities, raffles, and other initiatives.
• Update and sign off on fire extinguishers monthly.
• Update and sign off on first-aid kits weekly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

** Preferred Qualifications:**

• Previous experience in industrial laundry, manufacturing, distribution, or production operations.
• ** OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.**
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both employees and management.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

** Physical Requirements:**

• Ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs throughout the facility for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
• Ability to work around heat, humidity, noise, moving machinery, and production equipment.
• Ability to wear required PPE and access all operational areas of the facility.

** Work Environment**

This position is based in an industrial laundry and production environment. The Safety Coordinator will work around commercial washers and dryers, conveyors, automated equipment, forklifts, chemicals, heat, and noise. The role requires significant time on the production floor interacting with employees and conducting safety activities.
