Job Description
Summary: Assist management in the daily administration of all aspects of the company safety program. This includes safety policy implementation, adherence to all safety-related requirements, and administrative functions as required.
Direct Report: Safety Manager
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the Safety Manual(s), coordinate and participate in an annual review.
- Coordinate safety training and testing mandated by the customer and pay corresponding invoices as required. Maintain safety training/testing files.
- Maintain files and website login information for Safety Training Centers as required.
- Incorporate positive interpersonal skills when communicating or interacting with customers, subcontractors, vendors, craft, and Nooter personnel.
- Employ organizational skills that effectively minimize obstacles that negatively impact the project. When obstacles arise, employ sound decision-making/problem-solving skills to resolve the issue.
- Complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaires received and provide appropriate attachments as required. Maintain files on all Pre-Qualification Questionnaires sent as required.
- Monitor/maintain the OSHA Injury/Illness Recordkeeping, including the 300 log(s), 301, and 300A, per EHS Compliance Manager's direction and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and manage all aspects of the company's substance abuse program while serving as a communicator for these consortiums.
- Interface with customers' safety department to coordinate safety and health efforts.
- Receive, log, and enter incoming Incident Reports. Forward injury reports to the Corporate Safety Director for review and assessment.
- Maintain the quality of the incident investigation administrative process.
- Process medical-only workers' compensation claims, including assisting employees, providing billing information, forwarding invoices for review and discounting, and paying per adjudication.
- Support and assist field safety representatives on job sites.
- Provide safety support to CIC Group, Inc. companies on an as-needed basis.
- Participate actively as a key member of the Safety Committee.
- Provide administrative support to Safety Manager and Corporate Safety Director as required or requested.
- Administer the prescription safety glasses program for full-time employees.
- Prepare and maintain Corporate Safety files not otherwise classified.
- Administer logs and generate analytical reports for completed safety inspections.
Required knowledge:
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Good interpersonal, organizational, communication, and decision-making/problem-solving skills.
Required skills/abilities:
Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), cost tracking software (Viewpoint), internet use, and innovation. Ability to learn other software with company-provided training.
Formal education and experience:
Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
