Job summary

Millis Development & Construction is seeking a Safety Coordinator to conduct field safety inspections across our projects, support OSHA compliance, and assist with safety training. The role reports to the Director of Safety and collaborates with superintendents, subcontractors, and project teams.

The ideal candidate has 1–5 years of construction safety experience, OSHA 30 or ability to obtain it, strong documentation skills, and bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of construction safety experience (commercial construction preferred)
• OSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Willingness to travel to multiple job sites

Responsibilities

• Perform routine job-site safety inspections and audits
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1926, state, and company safety requirements
• Maintain accurate safety logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and PPE compliance
• Support development of site-specific safety plans, JHAs, and safety procedures as needed
• Will be taking train the trainer courses to assist in safety training

Responsibilities

• Perform routine job-site safety inspections and audits
• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1926, state, and company safety requirements
• Maintain accurate safety logs, inspection reports, and incident documentation
• Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions
• Monitor subcontractor safety performance and PPE compliance
• Support development of site-specific safety plans, JHAs, and safety procedures as needed
• Will be taking train the trainer courses to assist in safety training
