Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Safety Coordinator for the Midway facility to coordinate environmental, health, and safety activities and ensure EPA/OSHA compliance. The role stresses organization, strong interpersonal skills, and the opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Responsibilities include data entry, reporting, file management, training scheduling, incident handling, and policy implementation support.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for data management and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with various levels of employees.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Understanding of basic safety principles and regulations (OSHA, local safety standards) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Input safety data into designated systems and generate reports for management.
• Manage safety department files, order safety supplies, and schedule equipment maintenance.
• Create, maintain, and file records including incident reports and safety checklists.
• Assist in data collection and project support.
• Coordinate training schedules, manage incident reports, ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Safety Coordinator is focused on coordination of the environmental, health and safety activities for the Midway facility to maintain compliance with EPA, OSHA, Corporate and Facility safety and environmental regulations and initiatives.

This role is perfect for an individual who is organized and has good interpersonal management skills. A vital member of the safety team,this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• Inputting safety data into designated systems, generating reports on safety metrics, trends, and compliance status for management review.
• Managing safety department files, ordering safety supplies, coordinating safety equipment maintenance, and scheduling safety meetings.
• Create, maintain, & file records/documents as needed. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date safety documentation including incident reports, near-miss logs, employee training records, safety inspection reports, and compliance checklists.
• Assist in data collection and project support.
• coordinating training schedules, managing incident reports, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting the overall implementation of safety policies within an organization
• Regular and predictable attendance.
