Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Waxahachie, TX is seeking an experienced Facility EHS Manager to lead safety, health and environmental programs across the site.

You will ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and internal standards, build a strong safety culture, and mentor teams while driving continual improvement and zero-harm initiatives. This role requires collaboration with operations, engineering and safety professionals and offers a path to advancement within a national manufacturing leader.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, environment or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret governmental safety and environmental regulations (e.g., OSHA).
  • Leadership presence to lead meetings and coach peers & leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and OBE requirements, programs, and regulations.
  • Maintain safety and environmental records per federal, state, local and company requirements.
  • Oversee and improve facility safety initiatives to build a strong safety culture and support Safety Plan development.
  • Coordinate safety documentation (JSAs, PPE assessments, etc.).
  • Review and update Facility Written Programs (LOTO, Hazcom, etc.).

What You’ll Get to Do

TheFacility EHS Manageris responsible for leading and managing thefacility’s safety, health, and environmental activities to build a strong safety culture with zero harmfocus and full compliance with all government regulations and company requirements.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Ensure compliance with all pertinent OSHA, EPA and OBE requirements, programs, and regulations.
  • Maintain company’s database and all other safety and environmental-related records in accordance with all federal, state, local, and company requirements.
  • Oversee, evaluate, and continuously improve facility safety initiatives to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and to build a strong safety culture. This would include but not limited to: Supporting the annual Safety Plan development.
  • Coordinating required safety documentation for the facility (JSAs, Machine Guarding &PPE Assessments, New Equipment Evaluations, etc.)
  • Reviewing and ensuring proper updating and compliance of Facility Written Programs (LOTO, PIT, Hazcom, etc)
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, environment or related field or relevant work experience equivalent to a degree
  • Minimum 5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret governmental safety and environmental regulations (i.e., OSHA)
  • Personality, presence, and confidence to lead meetings, and coach peers & leaders.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently prioritizing work to achieve deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
