Job summary

OBE is seeking a Facility EHS Manager to lead the site’s safety, health, and environmental programs and foster a zero-harm culture. The role ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company standards while maintaining records and driving continuous safety improvements.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in safety/environment or related field with at least five years in manufacturing safety, strong reading of regulations, and proven leadership to coach teams and drive results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret OSHA/EPA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and company requirements.
• Maintain safety and environmental records in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Oversee safety initiatives and annual Safety Plan development.
• Coordinate safety documentation (JSAs, Machine Guarding & PPE Assessments, New Equipment Evaluations).
• Review and update Facility Written Programs (LOTO, PIT, Hazcom).

What You’ll Get to Do

TheFacility EHS Manageris responsible for leading and managing thefacility’s safety, health, and environmental activities to build a strong safety culture with zero harmfocus and full compliance with all government regulations and company requirements.

Job responsibilities include:

• Ensure compliance with all pertinent OSHA, EPA and OBE requirements, programs, and regulations.
• Maintain company’s database and all other safety and environmental-related records in accordance with all federal, state, local, and company requirements.
• Oversee, evaluate, and continuously improve facility safety initiatives to ensure compliance with all applicable standards and to build a strong safety culture. This would include but not limited to: Supporting the annual Safety Plan development.
• Coordinating required safety documentation for the facility (JSAs, Machine Guarding &PPE Assessments, New Equipment Evaluations, etc.)
• Reviewing and ensuring proper updating and compliance of Facility Written Programs (LOTO, PIT, Hazcom, etc)

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environment or related field or relevant work experience equivalent to a degree
• Minimum 5 years of safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret governmental safety and environmental regulations (i.e., OSHA)
• Personality, presence, and confidence to lead meetings, and coach peers & leaders.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently prioritizing work to achieve deliverables.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
