Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Service Center Manager to lead our Charlotte-area facility, driving safety, lean operations, and financial performance. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes coaching on safe practices and fostering accountability across all levels.

You will champion safety, oversee Lean initiatives, manage costs, and own P&L targets while delivering on-time, quality results for customers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience, including prior people management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Management or related field preferred (equivalent experience considered).
• Strong financial acumen with understanding of price, cost and margin relationships; experience managing facility P&L, budgeting, forecasting and expense control.
• Confident, effective communicator with clear verbal and written skills and strong interpersonal ability across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety by driving a safe working environment and ensuring compliance with OGEP and safety programs; partner with local Safety Coordinators to meet safety goals.
• Lead continuous improvement with Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kanban, Visual Factory, inventory control) and foster a culture of process improvement.
• Manage cost and efficiency by overseeing materials, inventory, labor/overtime, and supply costs to stay lean and profitable.
• Own financial performance by understanding, setting, meeting, and exceeding yearly sales goals, budgets, margins, inventory turns, and production planning.
• Deliver results for customers by achieving best-in-market lead times, quality control, and OTIF/CSI benchmarks.

As Service Center Manager, safety is your top priority, both in upholding current standards and building new ones. You'll be a vital, visible presence on the floor, coaching employees on safe work practices and setting the tone for a facility that takes accountability seriously.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and communicates with clarity and confidence at every level of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing cost & efficiency: Oversee and control materials, inventory, labor/overtime, and supply costs to keep the facility running lean and profitable.
• Owning financial performance: Understand, set, meet, and exceed yearly sales goals and budgets, profit margins, inventory turns, product needs, and production planning.
• Delivering results customers can count on: Achieve best-in-market lead times, quality control, and OTIF/CSI performance benchmarks.
