Job summary

Connect Search, LLC is seeking a highly organized Safety Coordinator to support its corporate safety department in Midland, TX. This contract-to-hire role focuses on maintaining safety programs, OSHA documentation, and subcontractor compliance to foster a strong safety culture on site.

You will coordinate training, incident investigations, PPE inventories, and DOT-related file administration while ensuring regulatory updates are tracked and implemented.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of safety administration, safety coordination, or compliance experience preferred.
• Experience in construction, industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, transportation, or a similar environment preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations; DOT compliance experience is a plus.
• Experience reviewing Certificates of Insurance (COIs) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with DOT Driver Qualification files is a plus.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day administration of the company's safety program.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, incident documentation, OSHA logs, and compliance files.
• Coordinate employee safety training, certifications, and renewal tracking.
• Assist with incident investigations, corrective action documentation, and root cause follow-up.
• Maintain PPE inventory, coordinate ordering, and track issuance to employees.
• Track H2S monitors, calibration schedules, assignments, and inventory.
• Manage safety meeting documentation, toolbox talks, and employee safety files.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and support Hazard Communication compliance.
• Coordinate drug and alcohol testing for pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion programs.
• Assist with DOT Driver Qualification (DQ) file administration and related compliance activities.
• Review and track subcontractor Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and maintain compliance records.
• Support subcontractor prequalification by organizing insurance, EMR, and safety documentation.
• Communicate with subcontractors regarding compliance requirements and documentation.
• Assist in monitoring OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other regulatory updates affecting company operations.
• Help maintain emergency response plans and other safety program documentation.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Safety, Business, or a related field is a plus.
• Two or more years of safety administration, safety coordination, or compliance experience preferred.
