Job summary

Express Employment Professionals – Hawaii is seeking a Safety & Compliance Coordinator to ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence across multiple divisions. The role offers a starting pay of $62k and focuses on field inspections, training, audits, and incident investigations.

You will support FMCSA, DOT, OSHA/HIOSH programs, maintain records, and work closely with leadership to foster a culture of safety and accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience in safety, compliance, construction, transportation, industrial operations, or related field.
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA/HIOSH or regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and investigation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field inspections, safety observations, and hazard assessments.
• Support FMCSA, DOT, OSHA/HIOSH, and company compliance programs.
• Maintain training, driver qualification, inspection, and regulatory records.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and track corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety training, new hire orientations, and toolbox talks.
• Monitor compliance deadlines and audit readiness.
• Partner with operations and leadership to promote safety culture.
• Provide hands-on coaching and reinforce safe work practices in the field.

As the Safety & Compliance Coordinator, You'll Be Responsible For:

Our Ideal Safety & Compliance Coordinator Candidate:

• Experience in safety, compliance, construction, transportation, industrial operations, or a related field.
• Knowledge of FMCSA, DOT, OSHA/HIOSH, or other regulatory requirements.
• Strong organizational, communication, and investigation skills.
• Experience conducting inspections, training employees, or supporting compliance initiatives preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn safety management systems.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
