Role And Responsibilities
- 1st shift (Mon-Fri)
- Partner with EHS manager to educate, interpret, maintain, and comply with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Align safety goals and strategies with customer-focused organizational goals.
- Consistently demonstrate a ‘team first’ approach to conducting training, audits, and inspections in all areas and then develop corrective action plans as needed.
- Proactive approach to engage and intervene in real time to correct unsafe behaviors and simultaneously coach and educate employees on possible alternative actions.
- Investigate injuries from a root cause perspective. Collaborate with EHS Manager and other Managers to offer recommendations to eliminate repetitive occurrences.
- Responsible for preparing site specific safety documents and managing any safety related questions from customer jobsites.
- Partner with organizational leadership, customers, vendors, and others to build mutually beneficial relationships centered on creating the functionally safest work environment for our employees and visitors.
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting of all OSHA recordable injuries.
- Lead Continuous Improvement initiative regarding safety policies and programs.
- Share incident facts with organizational leaders and safety committees to help create a culture of safety accountability.
- Provide safety training to employees and contractors at multiple site locations.
Qualifications And Education Requirements
- All potential candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States, employer sponsorship is not available.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
- Five (5) or more years of manufacturing safety experience, preferably in a custom metal fabrication or construction assembly environment.
- Mid to advanced level computer skills including experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and HRIS programs.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction with others to include multiple site groups, customers, vendors, and potential customers.
- Understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
- Facilitation of safety programs.
- Must carry a valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel to assist with safety related to onsite installation of Robinson products.
Preferred Skills
- Any of the following: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)
- OSHA 10 & 30 courses
- Experience in a work environment with 600+ employees
