• Competitive starting pay range of $31.52-$37.93 per hour, paid weekly

Responsibilities

This position is for Pactiv Evergreen Inc.

Summary: The Safety Coordinator actively participates in safety and health programs to prevent injuries, ensure compliance, and boost employee engagement.

Key Duties:

• Participate in employee-led safety projects and communicate progress
• Serve as SME on Behavior Based Safety and train staff
• Conduct safety training sessions
• Audit and improve on-the-job training programs
• Engage in safety meetings, updates, and follow-ups
• Train leaders and staff on engagement and near-miss programs
• Follow safety alerts and maintain compliance standards

Requirements

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Passionate about safety, compliance, and injury prevention
• Knowledge of safety programs like Lockout Tagout, PPE, Machine Guarding, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong communication skills, reliable, and able to coach peers and leaders
• Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments

Physical & Environmental Conditions

• Primarily Monday-Friday, with possible weekend or shift work
• Work includes office and shop floor activities
• Physical activity includes standing, sitting, climbing, working in hot/cold/dusty/noisy environments
