Qualifications

• 1–3 years of safety, EHS or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance programs.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and improvement of safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Maintain safety records, training documentation, OSHA logs, and compliance reports.
• Conduct routine facility, equipment, and jobsite safety inspections.
• Identify workplace hazards and help implement corrective actions.
• Assist with investigations of accidents, incidents, near-misses, and injuries.
• Coordinate and support employee safety training programs and toolbox talks.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
• Assist with internal and external safety audits.
• Support emergency preparedness programs, evacuation planning, and drills.
• Partner with leadership to promote a proactive safety culture.

Safety Coordinator

Our client, a growing and well-established organization in the Canton area, is seeking a Safety Coordinator to join their team on a direct hire basis. This position is responsible for supporting and promoting workplace safety initiatives, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining safety documentation, and helping foster a strong culture of safety throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and continuous improvement of company safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Maintain safety records, training documentation, OSHA logs, and regulatory compliance reports.
• Conduct routine facility, equipment, and jobsite safety inspections.
• Identify workplace hazards and help implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Assist with workplace accident, incident, near-miss, and injury investigations.
• Gather documentation, witness statements, photographs, and other supporting information related to safety incidents.
• Coordinate and support employee safety training programs and toolbox talks.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards.
• Assist with internal and external safety audits.
• Support emergency preparedness programs, evacuation planning, and safety drills.
• Partner with leadership and employees to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance workplace safety and reduce risk.

Schedule

• Monday-Friday
• 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• In-office position

Requirements:

• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• 1-3 years of safety, EHS, construction safety, manufacturing safety, or related experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance programs.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
